Summer time is great! We have made it through a very rough spring. Hopefully we will not have another storm like Feb. 5^th but maybe you are wondering what to do in case there is another storm like that. Well, now is the time to prepare and so here are a few options. Aloha Pools and Spas is an authorized dealer for “FlatSafe Torndo Shelters”. This is an inground shelter that is flush with your garage floor. It is installed in a day. They do a great job. It is the perfect solution for someone who does not have a lot of extra room in the garage. This shelter does not take up any space and you can drive your car over it. Usually you can pull your car up enough so that you can still have access if you need to get in the shelter. They have shelters that will hold 4, 6, 8, or 10 people. Now, for some people that do not like the idea of going underground here is another solution. Family Safe has certified in home safe rooms. These are usually put in the garage but there are some other options available. Installation takes as little as one hour and there are several different sizes to chose from. You will lose a little storage space in your garage but you can store items in and on top of the shelter itself. The FamilySAFE was the first complete prefabricated steele, above ground saferoom to pass all testing preformed at Texas Tech University. Familysafe actually had a person inside during testing.
